Leading Edge Devices

I've always been fascinated by the black magic that is aerodynamics.
 
Planes like the Helio Courier and it's leading edge slats, or the Vortex Generators on all manner of planes from modern jets to Piper Cubs - these devices help to tame aerodynamic forces and enable better handling characteristics at various speeds.
 
These leading edge devices give me the chance to experiment with these devices as they can be added or removed from my foamboard airplanes just by slipping them onto the leading edges.
 
The collection includes:
Leading Edge Slats - helpful in directing airflow over the upper surface of the wing at high angles of attack
 
Vortex Generators - these create spiraling vortexes of air that aid in adhearing airflow under certain conditions
 
Stall Fences - these are used to control stall propagation along the upper surface of the wing.
 
Designed for my straight wing planes, these allow you to experiment like a test pilot.
 
That said - please ensure you've got the altitude for when the gods of lift decide you're no logner flying.
